영정
계단으로 올라오는 곳에 걸려 있는 대형 그림은 이한열의 장례식에서 사용되었던 영정그림입니다. 이 그림은 최병수 작가의 판화를 기초로 여러 학생들이 함께 그렸습니다. 장례식날 트럭에 태워져 연세대학교에서 시청앞까지 행진하였습니다. 안타깝게도 원본이 못 쓰게 되어 새로 제작한 것입니다. 구름 문양은 최루탄을 상징하는 것입니다.

Funerary Portrait
In the stairwell is an image of the funerary portrait used at Lee Han-yeol’s funeral. (Unfortunately, the original was damaged. This is a reproduction.) The picture was drawn by some students from the woodcut made by the artist Choi Byeong-su. It was placed on a truck on the day of the funeral and driven from Yonsei University to Seoul City Hall. The cloud shapes symbolize tear gas.

遺影 階段から上がってくる所にかかっている大きな絵は、李韓烈の葬儀で使用した遺影の絵です。この絵はチェ・ビョンス画家の版画をもとに、何人もの学生が共同で描いたものです。葬儀の日、トラックに載せられ、ヨンセ大学から市庁前まで行進しました。残念なことに原本は傷みが激しくなり、新しく制作したものです。雲の模様は催涙弾を象徴しています。
